Six Sisters Stuff
1 cup water plus 2 Tbsp.
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. active dry yeast
¼ cup sugar
½ tsp salt
1 egg
3 ½ cups flour
Preheat oven to 400°. In mixer bowl
combine warm water, oil, yeast and sugar, let rest 5 minutes. With a dough
hook, mix in salt, egg and 2 cups of flour until combined. Add remaining flour,
½ cup at a time (dough will be sticky). Mix for 3 minutes. Spray your hands
with cooking spray and shape the dough into 12 balls.
Place balls on lightly greased cookie
sheet and let raise for 10 minutes. Bake for 12 minutes, or until tops are
lightly golden.
*It really does call for 2 Tbsp. yeast!
I like to bake them in a glass 9x13 pan so the bottoms of the rolls get golden
also. I usually double this recipe. These are not my favorite rolls, and are only good eaten right away, but it's nice to have a fast option for fresh dinner rolls.
